The AF Laser by ShenB is a low-level laser device that administers
two therapeutic wavelengths: 405 nm (violet) and 635 nm (red).

The device targets fungus that lives in and under the toenail without causing damage
to it or the surrounding skin. The device functions through a photochemical reaction using two wavelengths
: 405nm and 635nm. 405nm (Violet) increases cell reactive oxygen species production in cells, mainly H2O2,
which has a cytotoxic effect, destroying fungal cell walls1. 635nm (Red) increases the production of
adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and ROS.

Increased ATP in turn increases nitric oxide (NO) production, which is critical for new blood vessel formation
and support immune cells, helping the body’s immune system fight onychomycosis causing fungus.
The increased production of ROS is quickly converted into cytotoxic hydrogen peroxide (H2O2),
which targets the symptoms of Onychomycosis.
